Watched 'The Mighty' Blackburn Rovers last night vs the Gooners in the 1/4 final of the League Cup. Arsenal ran out 3-2 winners after extra time.
The average age of the Arsenal team was under 21. They made the Rovers look like fools in the first half. Great pass and move, finding space, great pace. Savage ran around like a head-less chicken trying to keep up - almost comical.
We were lucky to get back level, given the number of our players who were under-par. Reid at right back was useless (not his fault as that isn't his position) and he gave away 2 goals either by losing his man at the back post (1st goal) or playing them onside.
Hughesy needs to get a grip together and get the Blue and White Army firing on all cylinders again. As for Wenger and his kids - amazing, they could probably beat most teams in the Premier League but unfortunately most of them aren't English.
